According to Choosemyplate.gov, women need between 2-1.5 cups of fruit a day and men need at least 2 cups. As long as it is real fruit or 100% fruit juice, will count in this food group. They can be fresh, canned, frozen, dried..... pureed..... You get the idea.

Fruits contain many vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates (in the form of the sugar fructose), water and fiber. When I mention that you should eat a wide variety of colors, this food group contains many. More colors, typically a variety of nutrients. Therefore, bon apetite!!!!
