Meat Mongers:

1. insert small bite of meat into the mouth

2. chew to break into smaller parts and your saliva will create more of a mush

3. swallow

4. the bite enters the stomach and is soaked by Hydrochloric Acid

5. the strains of meat are broken down into amino acid chains

6. then enters the small intestine where the amino acid chains are further broken down into single and

paired amino acids.

7. amino acids are then absorbed into the blood stream and taken to the cell

8. if the cell is in need of repair, then the amino acids are there to rebuild or produce hormones and if needed, energy.

Veggie Victor

1. insert a bagel bite into the mouth

2. chew to break into smaller parts and your saliva will create more of a mush

3. swallow and the bagel mush travels down the esophagus

4. cells from the mouth, tongue and esophagus are sloughed off and follow the mush ball like the tail of

a comet.

5. The bagel bite comet lands in the stomach along with all the sloughed off cells.

6. bagels have about 10 grams of protein; however, coming from a plant source, the amino acids chains

are incomplete- meaning that they are not paired or missing a complement amino acids.

7. remember the sloughed off cells from your mouth, tongue and esophagus? Those "skin" cells have

complete amino acid chains.

8. the incomplete amino acids from the bagel can bind with an amino acid from your body to form a

complete protein. This "gathering" of your own body's amino acids is called the amino acid pool.

9. the single/paired amino acids are absorbed into the bloodstream and sent to the muscle/cells for

repair duty.

10. this is how vegetarians get their protein needs.

* Notice that the duty of protein is to repair and produce hormones, not to be an energy source. Fats burn in a Carbohydrate Flame. Protein has to be broken down and sent to the liver and converted into a carbohydrate (glucose) and a co-enzyme (Acetyl Co-A) to be used as an energy source (gluconeogenisis). It's very inefficient and will lead to a significant degradation of fitness. Use protein for repair and hormone production. Use carbohydrates for energy. Do not use protein for repair and energy by cutting out/down carbohydrate intake. You would be shooting yourself in the foot. Carbs are protein sparing meaning less energy from protein is recquired. This allows protein to do what its designed to do - Repair and Build! And Carbs give you energy to perform work so you can build muscle!!!
